I had lunch with my uncle in Columbus Ohio, then headed out of town around noon. This was by far the worst of the weather I faced on the whole trip, and it made for a long trip. By the time I dropped South into West Virginia, the snow and rain was streaking and misting all over the windshield. Trucks kicked up the spray as I weaved through the mountains in good ol' West Virginia. About eight hours later, I made it into Lexington, Virginia.
Jeff and Mike were on their way, both playing with GPS- for Mike, it was his new XM radio, and Jeff had his new GPS navigational system. I had been sitting on the cabin's porch up in Natural Bridge, and was working on a blog entry when they arrived.
We opted not to camp for the weekend, instead we stayed in the cabin. I finally watched Napoleon Dynamite. It was really strange. I can tell why it was a cult classic.
Roger came over and spent the day with us on Saturday. It was great catching up with him and learning what has gone on these past 5 years. Good times.
It was a great weekend with the guys- a really nice way to end a long vacation.

I got home around 8:30 on Sunday night, after 19 days and 7,620 miles.
Since then, I've been continuing to do homework and projects. I started my newest LEGO project, turned 27, worked on some computer housecalls and spent a great weekend with friends.
Is it good to be back? Sure. I did book my flight for July's trip to Maine though.
I'm already counting the days.
