Lemme toss this up to a vote.

if you had two choices of ways to spend your days, which of the options below would you pick?

Comments:

Definitely A.

Pulling ones hair out over post-it note requisitions is simply a necessary evil of today's modern working world.

Besides, Texan's are creepy.

ps. I am so glad I work outside, with plants, and am only behind a computer by choice.

um. B.

Definitely B.

But only if it makes sense at this time. But not too much sense, cause it's still fun to be spontaneous. :)

And please explain that picture...it looks like a giant chocolate statue..mmm..chocolate..

Posted by Olivia at February 10, 2005 10:13 AM

It would have been so much more of an interesting exhibit if that thing had been chocolate.

Hey Bri- for those of us eastcoastcentric types, tell us what the stars represent. Then i can let you know whether A or B is the preferred option. heh

Dan-
Stars are places to visit out there. They include: Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Santa Fe, Albequerque, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Roswell, El Paso, Alamogordo, Carlsbad and anywhere else I may bump into along the way.

Olivia-
The statue behind me in the Kortecam shot was from the Indian American Smithsonian not too long ago. I haven't taken a picture of myself in a while, so I thought that would work for a bit.

Update:
I'm really, really, really liking option B.

So, option 1 is somebody working and trying to make a living in today's world. And, in doing that, is stressed out at that particular job. Option 2 is a spoiled brat who can just drop everything and go on a trip to parts unknown. How can you afford to go on all of these trips you have spoken of previously (e.g. Wyoming, Colorado, California, etc...); and, now, that you are allegedly "working", how can you afford to even contemplate going on another extravagant trip like option 2? Trips like option 2 cost money. I guess you have one hell of a pay rate or a really nice 401k you can just cash out whenever. And, your bosses must not mind you taking leave after only being there in a short amount time that you've been employed. You must of been born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Have fun!

You're close. Option 1 is staying in the low-morale environment where I currently hang my hat. Option 2 is finishing what I started.

::How can you afford to go on all of these trips?::
have you ever heard of investing? You think I work paycheck to paycheck just trying to make ends meet? puh-lease.

::or a really nice 401k you can just cash out whenever::
Ah, okay, you just answered my question. No, you haven't heard of investing. Cashing out on a 401k (unless you meet certain "necessity requirements") almost always means at least a 10% penalty. There'd be no way in hell I'd want to touch something like that until I'm 55.5

I could care less about the other "concerns" you mentioned above. Life's too short to care about that. And while I grew up comfortably, Lawn-mowing, driveway-shoveling and babysitting jobs got this ball rolling.

Don't be jealous. Get out there and make some $$$ and do something smart with it.
