Hear that sound? That's me doing the jig. I not only passed my accounting class, but I landed a B. Hell yea. I aced everything in that final week of class, and my team landed a 14.3 out of 15 on the group paper. I'm pretty psyched!! Next up? Finance. Yea buddy.

Here's one of those great reasons why it's cool to have a digital camera on you at all times: I was driving around Richmond and just happened to notice out of the corner of my eye that I was at 99,999. I immediately grabbed the camera and got a shot off right as I rolled over into 100k. Yea buddy. I love my car.

Mom and Dad came to town this weekend to see the Virginia State Fair. It wasn't the complete goober fest I was expecting. I actually really enjoyed it. The closest gooberish thing I saw was a 20-year old mother smacking her 8-year-old kid (yes, with a rat-tail haircut) around and yelling at him for some reason. That's about as redneck as it got there. I was expecting much, much more.

We saw all the vegetable exhibits and the animals. I mainly hung out with the chicks. This one in particular, caught my eye (rather my camera's eye) and was completely obsessed. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Well, almost.

I've been completely consumed with little projects around the apartment. It's nice having Netflix, because I'm always watching a DVD now. Most of my TV shows have calmed down (or gone into repeats, which I don't care about) so this is typically the time of year to watch movies. I've been doing quite a bit of that too. Don't...under any circumstances...ever... watch The Whole 10 Yards. It's awful. Oh man, it's painful to watch. I was so let down. I mean, I know it went straight to video almost, but let me tell you... it was dreadful.

I was pleasantly surprised with Serendipity and pretty happy with Bend it Like Beckham. Coming up are more movies that I wanted to see but never got around to: Mr. Smith goes to Washington, Maid in Manhattan, Red Dawn, Under the Tuscan Sun, and the Starsky and Hutch remake. I'm really enjoying Netflix. If anyone's interested, I can hook you up w/ 2 free weeks, and I'll get a lil' bonus too, so it's win-win. :)

We noticed on Saturday night that my Playstation 2 is busted. I'm finding it hard to believe that it's from neglect, but I use the thing so little, that I'm glad I didn't invest in a lot of games. The fact that it's not working doesn't bother me too much. I didn't have too much invested in it. I may schlep it around as a portable DVD player to places where I don't already have my laptop. Will I buy the new Grand Theft Auto game? Nah. Probably not.

Comments:

I've been using Comcast and HBO On-Demand rather than rentals. HBO is free and Comcast is the price of the rental (minus the late fee that I will inevitably incur from Blockbuster if I rent there). I'll have to look for Serendipity, I've been wanting to see that one! Bend it... was a good movie too, I was pleasantly surprised!
